Pink Jansport BackpackA few months ago, there was a party to celebrate my 13th birthday and it was superb!Everyone I knew was there; even my big sister took the 2 hours train ride (she hates to fly) from her new home in the big, swanky city to the party. I
received amazing gifts from everyone but the one I loved most is the pink jansport
backpack that my sister had given me. According to my
sister,
this particular jansport backpack model is “legendary” for its
utilitarian
purposes. I have no idea about what she was yapping on “durability” and
“value
for money” of the backpack. All I know is that the pink jansport
backpack
has one large
compartment that is perfect for my books and a smaller front pocket to
put my pencil
case, iPod and mobile. The great thing about this pink jansport backpack is that it’s just the right size, not too big for my frame and not too small that all I could stuff in is one folder and the lunch Mom packs in the morning. According to
the tag attached on the bag, it
has a 16.7 x 8.5 x 13 inches dimension. So far, I could carry three
textbooks
in my backpack; I don’t mind hand carrying my folders since I like
showing off
my collages. The thing that I least like about this backpack is that it
doesn’t
have enough padding. The shoulder straps do not provide the most
comfort when I
have to carry the books all the way back home. Regardless, the
best
thing about receiving this from my sister is that no one else has or
could have
the same pink jansport backpack even if they want to. It’s a known fact
that I
love pink and the worldly famous Hello Kitty. Well, my sister took some
felt
fabric, made a giant Hello Kitty out of them and sews them on the front
pocket
portion of the backpack. Every Hello Kitty fan in school is just dying
of envy
when they saw the pink backpack. They want the same one but I know that
is just
impossible. It’s not just the girls who admire this type of jansport school bags, the boys do to. Of course they probably go without the Hello Kitty and stick to the other masculine colors like black, navy and brown. My drama
teacher also took a liking for the
bag; it reminded her then
reliable
daypack in her younger days. She reported that although it seems like
the shape
and made are quite similar of her old one, the colors seems to be
getting more
modern than it used to. Not only it withholds the weight of my books, it also has endured the rough and tumble of the theater stairs whenever I’m late for drama practice. My sister was right when she said it was durable for teenagers on the go like me. |
